We are a team of driven individuals who know the significance of children to the future of the world and want to improve the world by starting from the foundational mind of young children.
Change A Child Community Initiative is a youth-centered organization that began in 2022 after we won a grant competition organized by UNESCO-APCEIU and created a learning material titled – “Building our Ideal Community” to teach young children the concept of peacebuilding in their own words.
As a follow-up mechanism to maximize impact, we started the WHIDE (What Have I Done for Earth) school clubs where children in underserved communities are taught about the SDGs and encouraged to use their ideas to solve their imminent environmental challenges. This club currently runs in two schools in Ajegunle, Lagos, Nigeria, and is expanding to more.
Our goal is to give young people the tools to
re-engineer their future.
Our driving force
Our Mission
We want to inspire a sustainable Nigeria
To inspire a sustainable Nigeria through one child in one community, changing the narrative one lesson at a time, one teacher at a time, until we are all striving towards the goal of peaceful co-existence.
Our Vision
We want to actively contribute to GCED accessibility
To be an active contributor to reducing the number of out-of-school Nigerian children while ensuring EVERY CHILD accesses global citizenship education on our journey to inspiring a sustainable Nigeria.
Our Partner
Our growing numbers
Our numbers are developing but we like to highlight them as reference points for the work we are doing, to keep track of our growth.
