Founded as an aftermath of the UNESCO-APCEIU Youth Leadership Workshop, Change A Child Community Initiative was created to close the gap between showing and telling young people about peace, and the impact of their contributions to the achievement of a peaceful and more equitable world. Our strategy is hinged on making room for more young people to take charge of their lives now, and their future, by making daily decisions that promote peace, dignity, equity, and sustainability.
Our Mission
We are a nonprofit youth organization dedicated to educating, inspiring, and empowering young people to practise peacebuilding and contribute meaningfully to the transformation of their communities.
Our Goal
To build 1,000,000 young peacebuilders by 2030
Our Vision
A world where young people lead peaceful coexistence and drive positive community transformation.
If we can achieve positive change with one child, we can achieve it in the world.
It is our utmost belief that when we succeed at the positive change of one child, it is a vehicle to the next level of change which involves the community where that child is. The effect of peer-to-peer learning and influence cannot be overstated. With one community building their desired goal, this can then be replicated in communities across the world.
